Farewell to the Ambassador of the I. R. of Iran

Nj. E. Mahmoud Heidari, whose mandate is closing as the ambassador of the I. R. of Iran in Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Thursday, August 6, 2020, was given a farewell at the “Ibn Sina” Institute.
Mr Zlatko Dizdarević, a diplomat and a distinguished journalist and analyst pointed out the significant role and the position of Iran within the global scale, and stated: “The role of the Iranian ambassador during the time of unlawful American sanctions is particularly important, and very delicate”.
“NJ. E. Heidari has worked constructively during his mandate in Bosnia and Herzegovina and he has left a huge mark in the relations between two countries and in establishing relations between intellectuals. We are hopeful that political, cultural and economic relations between two countries will continue and that they will even develop further”, Dizdarević pointed out.
Džemal Najetović, PhD, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Travnik, thanked for the continuous support of the I. R. of Iran embassy in Sarajevo, ever since the relationships between the two countries have been formed, and he said: “The help which was provided by the I. R. of Iran during the war made sure to halt a greater genocide occurring among the Muslims. I think that Iran has an important and unavoidable part to play when it comes to the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
Mr Nermin Hodžić, the director of the general affairs office of BZK “Preporod” reminded us of cultural and scientific support of the Iranian embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina: “The Iranian ambassador, taking into account his long-lasting presence and prominent work in the regions of the Balkans and Bosnia and Herzegovina, can be perceived as one of the most prominent experts in regional problems, and we hope that in the future he would act for the benefit of Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
NJ. E. Mahmoud Heidari, the ambassador of Iran, expressed his gratitude to the Science and Research “Ibn Sina” Institute in the development of cultural and scientific relations of the two countries and he said: “The work of the “Ibn Sina” Institute during the previous two decades formed the basis for the development of scientific and academic relations”.
NJ. E. Heidari ambassador in continuation said: “The vast level of the socio-historical togetherness of the two nations, as well as the mutual friendship between people, in two-sides political will for the elevation of our collaboration during the last few years, formed opportunities for the enlarging of capacities in different areas of functioning”.
The Ambassador mentioned some of the great classical works in Persian, translated into Bosnian, such as Hafez’s Divan, translated by the late Professor Bećir Džaka, as well as the Persian-Bosnian Dictionary, and asked the “Ibn Sina” Institute to quickly publish the Dictionary.
Zoghi Barani, PhD, the director of the “Ibn Sina” Institute expressed his gratitude to the Embassy for co-ordinating between the Iranian organisations, and he wished good luck to the Iranian ambassador, in his following duties: “The Science and Research “Ibn Sina” Institute is ready to continue its scientific and academic work, as it did in the past”, Barani, PhD, pointed out.
In the end of their meeting, NJ. E. Heidari was given gifts as tokens of appreciation.
