Author
Marko P. Đurić
Summary
The author speaks about theological paths common to Islam and Christianity, and that will lead Christians and Muslims towards common understanding of their faiths. He thusly speaks about common belief in one God the Creator, as well as other paths. However, in order to reach a mutual cognition it is necessary to have a dialogue and a big part of the paper is dedicated to it. Since both Christians and Muslims believe in one God, a belief in such God is bound to evoke a memory of Abraham/Ibrahim, Jesus and a Messenger of Islam, who also believed in Him. According to the author, religious fundamentalism is the main modern enemy of the religious dialogue, so if Christians and Muslims truly believe in God, and live Christian and Muslim values, they can never be fundamentalists.
