The director of the “Ibn Sina” Science and Research Institute, Mohammad Hossein Abbasi, alongside Mubina Moker, PhD, who is in charge of the Persian Language and Literature Centre at the “Ibn Sina” Institute, and the translator of the “Ilahinama” by Feruddin Attar, came to visit on January 13, 2022, the Public and University Library “Derviš Sušić” in Tuzla. He also met and spoke with the directress of the Library, Mrs Mirna Trifković.
While talking to the library Directress, Mr Abbasi introduced her to some of the most prominent science and research projects which the “Ibn Sina” Institute perpetuated through more than twenty-five years of establishment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and he pointed out the following: “The publications of our Institute, such as the translation of ‘The Divān of Hafez’, by Hafez Shirazi, the Persian-Bosnian Dictionary, the translations of books by William Chitticka ‘The Sufi Path of Love’ and ‘The Sufi Path of Knowledge’, have earned various awards and recognitions in different international book fairs all around Iran and BiH. Additionally, Mubina Moker, PhD, in one of her elaborations, introduced the process of the book translation and publication to Mrs Trifković. During the rest of the meeting, the directress of the Public and University Library “Derviš Sušić”, in Tuzla, presented an overview of the work procedure at the Library, whereby she also pointed out that ever since the Library was established in 1946, this institution has been helping the development of library-related activities in Tuzla.
At the end of the meeting one copy of the “Ilahinama” book was provided to the Library.
The delegation of the “Ibn Sina” Institute also visited the Public Library in Živinice, whereas the representatives met and talked to the Vice Directress. Afterwards, one cycle of the Institute publications was gifted to this library, as well.
