The students club “Ibn Sina” is preparing presentations of students and experts on the topic “The frames of realizing human rights in the discourse of humanities; human rights in the context of modern Palestine” and group iftar

On the 4th april 2024, the Students’ Club “Ibn Sina” is preparing a program for the presentations of students and experts on the topic “Frames of realizing human rights in the discourse of humanities, human rights in the context of modern Palestine” and a collective iftar, which follows these presentations.

During the program, students, members of the Club will have an opportunity to present on the topics of human rights from various aspects, and to focus on the contemporary context of Palestine within the scope of this term.

Prof. Shahab Yar Khan PhD will address the students, speaking on human rights and the contemporary context of Palestine, from an interdisciplinary and literary standpoint. After that, Emin Čamo, member and president of the Students’ Club will speak on the topic of human rights from the perspective of comparative literature and philosophy.

Sara Delić, a new member of the Club will focus on this topic from the viewpoint of Turkish philosophers and writers. Vedad Kobiljak will join them, speaking on the topic of human rights and freedom of speech in the context of “Dune” by Frank Herbert.

After the student presentations, a short documentary will be viewed on the current Israeli aggression on Palestine. Thereafter, Edis Salihović, member of the students’ club will present the most important information on Palestine in the modern context under the Israeli aggression.

The audience will then have the opportunity to join the program via questions and comments.

The ending of this program is followed by a collective iftar, during which the members of the Club will have the opportunity to break their fast and to associate with their colleagues and friends.
