In the organisation of the Center for Balkan Studies, which operates at the “Ibn Sina” Research Institute, a panel discussion was held under the title “The Importance of Cultivating the Culture of Memory: Genocide and Crimes against Bosniaks”, on the occasion of commemorating the anniversary of the Srebrenica Bosniak Genocide.
Participants in the panel discussion were: Dr. Ermin Kuka who spoke on the topic “Forgetting the crime – a compromise with the Great Serbian ideology”, Dr. Sead Selimović from the Faculty of Philosophy in Tuzla depicted a presentation entitled “The importance of historiography on genocide and war crimes against Bosniaks 1992–1995. of the year for the culture of memory”, and his presentation was elaborated on by Hamza Memišević, MA, entitled “Six strategic goals of the Assembly of the Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, in which he presented the idea and operation of Serbian politics on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina immediately before the aggression.
In this way, the “Ibn Sina” Institute strives to nurture the culture of memory by presenting facts with scientifically based topics.
