This valuable work by the author Nadir Dacić is the latest publishing endeavor of the Research Institute „Ibn Sina“ in co-publishing with the Bosniak National Council of Serbia.
The book is a collection of biographies of the ulema who, throughout the 20th century, dedicated their lives to serving their faith and their people with devotion and loyalty. The author of this research work has included nearly 600 prominent figures from the religious life of the Bosniaks of Sandžak in this book: imams, mualims, muderrises, sharia judges, muftis, etc., some of whom were also socially engaged. Archives and libraries in Sarajevo, Belgrade, Podgorica, and Priština, as well as data obtained through direct communication with the families of these great individuals, were used to gather the information. Additionally, the book contains a large number of photographs and documents regarding completed education or appointments to certain positions.
