The panel discussion „Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Cooperation with the Majority Islamic World: Challenges and Perspectives of Foreign Policy“ was held

The Center for Balkan Studies at the „Ibn Sina“ Scientific Research Institute organized a panel discussion entitled „Cooperation of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the majority Islamic world: Challenges and perspectives of foreign policy“.

An exceptionally important topic, which has been largely neglected in the public discourse of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was thematized by expert panelists who, based on scientifically grounded facts, presented the past practices in the context of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s cooperation with majority Islamic countries, and explained the current trends and opportunities prevailing due to global geopolitical processes.

The participants of this panel discussion were: Prof. Dr. Emir Hadžikadunić, who spoke on the topic „Diplomatic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina with Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Turkey: Trends and Opportunities“; Admir Lisica, a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Political Science in Sarajevo, whose topic was „Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina: Can It Be Better?“; Belmin Herić, MA, who, from the perspective of a historian and journalist, provided factual data on the topic „The History of Diplomatic Relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina: Challenges and Perspectives“; and Nedžad Ahatović, a military analyst, who presented lesser-known details on the topic „Bilateral Relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Pakistan in the Context of New Geostrategic Developments in the World.“

Diplomatic representatives, members of the academic community, political officials, and students from the University of Sarajevo attended this event. After the official part of the panel discussion, attendees engaged with the panelists through interaction, which delighted the guests present.

This is one of the activities of the Center for Balkan Studies at the Scientific Research Institute „Ibn Sina,“ which has been implemented over the past two years with the aim of educating the wider public on topics related to political history and international relations.
