On January 14, 2022, in the amphitheatre of the Science and Research “Ibn Sina” Institute, the “Ibn Sina” Students Club has been open. The Club will function alongside the “Ibn Sina” Institute and the managing body of this Club.
At the gathering, Mr Damir Kahrić, the President of the Club, addressed the attendees and he stated that this Club represents a turning point for young students, researchers and for all those who are thirsty for knowledge and are willing to hone their skills within the field of literature, art, philosophy, enunciation, as well as in creative writing.
The Club members will be able to discuss the newest issues which make up 2022, and the entirety of the contemporary era, within the realm of humanities and social sciences, as well as through prisms of other types of research. The Supervisor of the Club, who is the founder of the project and who gathered all the hard-working, interested students, is the Associate Professor Shahab Yar Khan, PhD, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo. He also addressed the attendees by stating: “In the Students Club, the members will be able to, perhaps for the first time ever, speak freely, however at the level of good manners which should become a part of every young, academically educated citizen”.
“Even after some times passes, the contributions made by the young Club members will prevail and will serve as an inspiration for the upcoming generations in their own research-related, academic and other development”.
A warm welcome was also presented by the director of the “Ibn Sina” Institute, Mr Mohammad Hossein Abbasi, who emphasised the notion that the Institute is always open for young students, especially members of this Club, and that the Institute will support them in their endeavour. At the end of the programme, the students visited the library of the Institute.
