The Handover Ceremony of Mubina Moker, PhD: the 13th International “Farabi” Festival

On September 20, 2022, the handover ceremony of Mubina Moker, PhD, was conducted at the Science and Research “Ibn Sina” Institute, on the basis of the 13th International “Farabi” Festival, dedicated to the best researcher within the sphere of Iranian and Islamic studies. The closing ceremony of the Festival was held July 5, this year, in Tehran, in the presence of the Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The ceremony was conducted in the presence of the B&H Ambassador in the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Excellency Samir Veladžić, the Ambassador of Iran in B&H, His Excellency Reza Ghelichkhan, as well as in the presence of religious, educational, cultural and scientific institutional representatives, and the media representatives: BIR TV, TV IRIB and Preporod.

The ceremony was open by Their Excellencies, the director of the “Ibn Sina” Institute, Mr Abbasi, Professor Đenita Haverić, PhD, the Head of the Cathedra for Persian Language and Literature, Department of Oriental Philology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo, and Mubina Moker, PhD.

The awards given to Mubina Moker, PhD, in Tehran were taken by Mr Veladžić, and today those awards were given to Mubina Moker, PhD, by himself, the Iranian Ambassador, and the Institute’s director.

At the closing ceremony, Moker, PhD, addressed the audience. She thanked the director of the Institute, Mr Abbasi, and the Deputy Director, Mr Hamed Zabihi, she thanked her colleagues, co-workers, professors and friends for their unstinting support in her long-standing work.

It should be noted that these awards were granted on the basis of translational achievements and the endeavours placed in Ilahinama, by Feriduddin Muhammed Attar, which was published at the co-publication of the “Ibn Sina” Institute, and the Publishing Centre “El-Kalem”, thereby the awards were given to Mr Mesud Smajić, the director of “El-Kalem”, and to the Bosnian author Hadžem Hajdarević, who utilised his poetic craftsmanship to transcreate Ilahinama within the sphere of the Bosnian language.
