The Director of the Ibn Sina Scientific Research Institute held a meeting with the Tuzla Mufti

On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, Mohammad Hossein Abbasi, Director of the Ibn Sina Scientific Research Institute in Sarajevo, accompanied by a delegation from the Institute, visited the Tuzla Mufti’s Office, where he met and held talks with Dr. Vahid-ef. Fazlović, the Mufti of Tuzla.

The meeting was attended on behalf of the Tuzla Mufti’s Office by Dr. Mensur-ef. Husić and Hafiz Ahmed-ef. Huskanović, and on behalf of the Ibn Sina Institute by Dr. Jafar Azimzadeh and Ms. Enisa Grabus.

At the meeting, Mr. Abbasi thanked the Mufti of Tuzla for hosting the session and briefly informed the hosts about the latest scientific and research activities and programs of the Institute. Mr. Abbasi also reflected on the long-standing cooperation between the two institutions, stating, among other things: ‘The collaboration between the Ibn Sina Institute in Sarajevo and the Tuzla Mufti’s Office dates back to the mandate of the current Reis-ul-ulema, Dr. Husein-ef. Kavazović, as Mufti of Tuzla, and has continued uninterrupted to this day.’ The Director of the Institute expressed his gratitude to Dr. Fazlović for his support and the special attention he has given to the Institute’s activities, emphasizing the importance of maintaining and strengthening this cooperation throughout his mandate.

In his speech, Dr. Vahid-ef. Fazlović, the Mufti of Tuzla, praised the scientific and research standing of the Ibn Sina Institute, describing it as an active and influential center in the field of scientific studies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also expressed hope that bilateral cooperation will expand in the future.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Director of the Ibn Sina Institute presented the Mufti of Tuzla with a copy of the Bosnian-Persian Dictionary, expressing the hope that this work will meet the needs of researchers and all enthusiasts interested in these two linguistic fields.
