On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, Mohammad Hossein Abbasi, director of the “Ibn Sina” Scientific Research Institute in Sarajevo, accompanied by a delegation from the Institute, met and held discussions with Dr. Amir Karić, rector of the University of Tuzla.
During the meeting, the director, Mr. Abbasi, acquainted the rector with the latest scientific research activities and achievements of the Institute, noting that it is a great honor for him that the “Ibn Sina” Institute has a long-standing and productive cooperation with the University of Tuzla. He also highlighted the significant role of Dr. Rusmir Šadić, a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Tuzla, as the editor-in-chief of the periodical Znakovi vremena. Mr. Abbasi expressed hope that these scientific interactions will further expand and deepen in the future.
Dr. Amir Karić, rector of the University of Tuzla, briefly presented the history and activities of the University of Tuzla, highlighting the Institute “Ibn Sina”’s effective presence in the field of scientific research and emphasizing the importance of a constructive and long-standing cooperation between the two institutions.
The two sides then exchanged views on ways to develop cooperation and on the possibilities for implementing joint scientific research projects.
At the end of the meeting, the director of the “Ibn Sina” Institute presented the University library with a copy of the Bosnian-Persian Dictionary and expressed hope that this work could meet the needs of researchers and all enthusiasts interested in these two linguistic fields.
