The Delegation of the “Ibn Sina” Institute in Visitation of the Embassy of the I. R. of Iran in Sarajevo

On the occasion of marking the 44th anniversary of the victory of the I. R. of Iran, the delegation of the “Ibn Sina” Institute, led by the Vice Director Mr Hamed Zabihi, visited the I. R. of Iran Embassy, where they were greeted by the Ambassador H. E. Mashaallah Shakeri, alongside the co-workers.

At the very beginning Mr Hamed Zabihi expressed congratulations to the Ambassador and the Iranian people, and briefly introduced the members of the Institute’s delegation.

On behalf of the Institute’s delegation, Mubina Moker, PhD, addressed the audience and sent her congratulations. In her short address, Moker, PhD, pointed out that Imam Khomeini (r. a.) is a symbol of the protection of the oppressed and disenfranchised around the world, not only by written word but also by deed.

“Today, when we witness the shocking images of the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria, we see that most of the countries of the world are sending their rescue teams to Turkey, and that the Syrian people are left to fend for themselves due to the sanctions of the superpowers. The I. R. of Iran is one of the few countries that has provided aid to the Syrian people. With this gesture, Iran shows that in practice it follows the ideals and values that Imam Khomeini (r. a.) stood for, and that is, above all, to provide help where it is needed. Also, every person who respects the personality of Imam Khomeini should try to follow in his own life the values that the Imam stood for”, said Moker, PhD, among other things.

Then the Ambassador addressed the audience. H. E. Mashaallah Shakeri, who thanked for the visit, pointed out that the Islamic Revolution of Iran established a completely new value system in the world.

“It is the Iranian people who preserve the values of the Islamic Republic system. These are the values that are not limited only to Iran, but find their application all over the world. It is the Iranian people who react to human misfortune in any part of the world”. Although we ourselves were hit by an earthquake some time ago, the people reacted and we were among the first to send aid to Turkey and Syria”, H. E. Shakeri pointed out.

  1. E. Shakeri also referred to the great scholar Ibn Sina, after whom the Institute was named, and pointed out that he is a personality who does not belong only to Iran, nor only to the Islamic world, but has indebted the whole world with his work. Personalities like Ibn Sina and Farabi had a great influence on Iqbal Lahori, who dedicated his verses to them.

The delegation of the Ibn Sina Institute presented the Ambassador of the I. R. of Iran in Sarajevo with the book Ilahinama.

At the end of the visit, flowers were placed on the memorial plaque to the Iranian martyrs who laid down their lives in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
