In Banja Luka, Monday 20, 2022, in the courtyard of Ferhat-pasha’s Mosque, starting at 19:00 hrs, with the attendance of a large number of admirers of poetry, the book promotion of “Ilahinama” was held.
In the beginning, the attendees were greeted by Nusret Abdibegović, MA – the Mufti of Banja Luka. He stated that the promotion represents a large cultural event for Banja Luka, and that works such as this inspire us to cherish the lovely Islamic edeb.
Then the director of the Science and Research “Ibn Sina” Institute spoke, Mr Mohammad Abbasi Valadi, who thanked everyone for the warm and kind welcome, and he stated that Muslims of Bosnia and Herzegovina share mutual cultural and intellectual connections with Iran. “Thus works such as Ilahinama contribute to the deepening of such relations”, Mr Abbasi stated.
Professor Hadžem Hajdarević compared the transcreation of “Ilahinama” to working in a garden and planting fruits from one language territory into another. He also stated that it is of vital importance that a reader builds his own relationship with the work and to approach the work with thought.
The translator of the work Mubina Moker, PhD, stated that “Ilahinama” was directed towards man’s heart, and that a man building the relationship with God in his own heart he makes an inclination away from formalism, primarily in religious terms, but also in other segments of life.
The moderator of the programme was Hafez, Muamer effendi Okanović, the main imam of the IZ Medžlis of Banja Luka.
The programme was beautified by the performances of the Madrassa choir “Reis Ibrahim ef. Maglajlić” Banja Luka.
