On Thursday, March 16, 2023, in the premises of the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Sarajevo, the book launching “Mladi u magli (Istraživanje o položaju mladih u Bosni i Hercegovini) was held, which had been published by the “Ibn Sina” Institute and authored by: Assistant Professor Amer Osmić, PhD, Damir Kahrić, MA, Aleksandra Kureš, Davor Radić and Zerina Maksumić.
The Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Professor Sead Turčalo, PhD, who praised the successful research endeavour and the final product in the form of the book.
Professor Osmić described the process of creating this type of research and book, and listed some of the basic parts. Then Zerina Maksumić, Davor Radić and Aleksandra Kureš spoke, and they theoretically and personally described some conclusions of this research, all of which concern: young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina and their attitude towards free time, family and friends, politics.
Assistant Professor Abdel Alibegović, PhD, as the reviewer of the book alongside Associate Professor Merim Čamo, PhD, addressed the audience and stated that he closely follows the work of the “Ibn Sina” Institute, and he praised the authors and the publishing venture. Also, Professor Alibegović praised the fact that the “Ibn Sina” Institute largely focuses on young people and deals with current youth issues.
At the end, the audience was addressed by Damir Kahrić, M.A. He spoke about the entire process of formulating the topic, creating a survey questionnaire, processing data and creating a study, and referred to the academic, scientific and research contribution of this project.
After hearty congratulations and praise for all the promoters, there was a segment of questions and discussion, and at the very conclusion, the members of the audience were handed brochures of the “Ibn Sina” Club and cards with a QR code for direct access to the electronic book.
