Students of the Summer School of Diplomacy in Visitation of the Science and Research “Ibn Sina” Institute in Sarajevo

On September 22, 2022, the Science and Research “Ibn Sina” Institute hosted a gathering of the students of the Summer School of Diplomacy, second cycle, which is organised by the “Alija Izetbegović” Museum in Sarajevo. In the premises of the “Ibn Sina” Institute, the gathered students of the Summer School of Diplomacy were firstly addressed by Damir Kahrić, MA, PhD candidate of the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, and President of the Students Club “Ibn Sina”. During the workshop, Mr Kahrić presented a brief historic overview of the Institute to the students and he presented different functions of several Institute’s work centres. Mr Kahrić introduced to the students some of the Institute’s finest publishing achievements, such as Divan, Persian-Bosnian Dictionary and Ilahinama. Likewise, he presented the editions of the journals “Signs of the Time” and “Students’ Times”, as well as the history and activities of the Students Club, and he warmly welcomed all interested attendees to join the Club and future projects.

After the talk by Mr Kahrić, Professor Seyyed Hamid Hashemi, PhD, from Iran, held a class for the students of the Summer School of Diplomacy. After Professor Hashemi’s class, Mr Kahrić introduced the Institute’s capacities to the attendees, such as the library and the amphitheatre, wherein they could exchange ideas, ask questions regarding the functioning of the Institute and the Students Club. Also, the Summer School of Diplomacy students got a chance to meet Mubina Moker, PhD, the translator of Ilahinama and the Head of the Persian Language and Literature Centre. Afterwards, the guests received the gifts from the Institute, and they thanked the members of the “Ibn Sina” Institute for their warm greeting.
