Professors and students from University of Tübingen visited Institute “Ibn Sina

On Thursday, 06 October 2016, a group of professors and students from the Faculty of Theology of the University Tübingen in Germany, visited the Institute “Ibn Sina”. During the visit, proffessor Dr. Stefan Schreiner spoke about the activities of the Group for Religious Studies Tübingen University. Professor said, among other things: The aims of establishing this study group is introducing the comparative study of religion and realistic view of religious change in modern times.Doctor Rouhollah Ghaderi Kangavar, director of the Institute “Ibn Sina”, welcomed the distinguished guests from Germany and said that the Research Institute “Ibn Sina” is a bridge of scientific and cultural exchanges between Iran and the Western Balkan countries, especially Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Director of the Institute “Ibn Sina” also said: “The transfer of philosophical and Gnostic teachings represents, one might say, the most important pillar of the Institute’s activities and we believe that religious rationalism allows the preservation of society and coexistence with other religions.”
During the meeting, students of religious studies asked questions highlighting the role and position of the Institute “Ibn Sina” and the importance of religious and philosophical studies.
