On Wednesday, June 12, starting at 6:00 p.m., Dr. Fatima Tabatabaji held a lecture on “Love and Gnosis in Imam Khomeini’s Divan”, at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo.
At the beginning, the program moderator, Umihana Šošić, greeted the attendees and spoke in chosen words about Dr. Tabataba’i, presenting her brief biography.
In her address to the attendees, prof. Tabataba’i began by reminiscing about her time at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, when she gave lectures on Islamic gnosis as a visiting professor.
After that, Prof. Tabatabaji gave a very inspiring lecture in which she presented the fundamental aspects of the understanding of Gnostic love in the opinion of Imam Khomeini, which he expressed in poetic form in the Diwan. Some of these aspects are: creation rests on love, the human fitrah (nature) is destined for love, and true love is devotion to God. In her lecture, prof. Tabatabaji quoted a large number of verses from Imam Khomeini.
After the lecture, the attendees had the opportunity to ask questions dr. Tabatabaji, who shared several memories of her time with Imam Khomeini.
The lecture was extremely well-attended. The lecture was attended by professors and the dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Dr. Mustafa Hasani.
