Ibn Sina Institute launches, ‘Ibn Sina Students Club’

Ibn Sina Institute launches, ‘Ibn Sina Students Club’ on Friday, 14.01.2022. The ceremony will be presided over by the founder and the supervisor of the Club, Prof. Dr. Shahab Yar Khan and Mr. Mohammed Hossein Abbasi (Director Ibn Sina Institute) at the premises of the Ibn Sina library. Members of the club will attend the first session which starts at 13:30 pm. The following Students are appointed as the first managerial body of the club:

1. President: Mr. Damir Kahric (Doctoral studies, faculty of Philosophy, UNSA)
2. Vice President: Amela Vilic (third year student, FF, UNSA)
3. Secretary: Zerina Maksumic (third year student, FF UNSA)
4. Joint secretaries: Selma Bohtanovic (2nd year FF UNSA), C Rijad (2nd year FF UNSA)
Functions of the Ibn Sina Students Club (ISSC):
1. The club’s mission is to cover a broad range of intellectual and philosophical activities. The Club is initially scheduled to meet three times a semester. Each gathering will include creative writing sessions, recitations of original works, presentation of original works of art and genuine philosophical discourses. Academics and experts from various fields of arts, literature and philosophy will preside over the sessions and guide the youth to think constructively and creatively.
2. Publishing of genuine works and establishing a biannual (bilingual) gazette, ‘Students Times’ is among the priorities of the ISSC.
3. interested students, with a valid membership card, from around BiH can join the club’s activities online as well.
4. The membership card holders will be allowed to have access to Ibn Sina library premises. However, the rights of issuing the membership are totally reserved by the management of Ibn Sina Institute and governing board of ISSC.
5. ISSC intends to hold international debate and declamation contests on annual bases.
6. The long term plans involve to connect the youth of BiH directly to international bodies of students from Europe, Asia, America and Africa.
Memberships will open from Friday 14.01.2022, 14:00 hrs.
Weekly official timings: Monday: 10:00 to 16:00; Friday: 10.00 to 16:00.
