Abstract
International Humanitarian Law is one of the most important branches of the encompassing science of law that tends to, if in spite of preventive efforts an armed conflict begins, to limit that conflict as much as possible and reduce its destructive factors and subjugate it to regulations.
The attitudes of religions are of great importance, and especially the stance of Islam as one of the most important religions of the contemporary world, which is sometimes unfortunately misunderstood and misinterpreted by its very followers.
This article is an attempt to, while referring to ayāt and transmissions, to present Islamic attitudes towards rules and regulations which regulate the relations between sides before and after armed conflicts.
