On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, Dr. Sulejman Ugljanin, President of the Party of Democratic Action of Sandžak, accompanied by a delegation, visited the Ibn Sina Research Institute, where he met and held talks with the Director, Mohammad Hossein Abbasi.
During the meeting, Dr. Ugljanin expressed his condolences on the death of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as eight members of the Director’s family, in the American-Zionist aggression against Iran. The President of the Party of Democratic Action of Sandžak also reaffirmed his support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and its steadfast people, emphasizing that, with God’s help, the Islamic Revolution and all Muslims in the world will achieve final victory.
The Director of the Institute thanked Dr. Ugljanin and the accompanying delegation for their visit to the Institute. He also expressed gratitude for his clear and courageous positions in condemning the attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran, as well as for extending condolences on the occasion of the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
Finally, the Director of the Institute once again thanked Dr. Ugljanin for his visit and expressed sympathy, as well as appreciation for the message of condolence regarding the death of members of his family. He briefly informed the guests that on April 7, 2026, in the early morning hours, 18 innocent civilians were killed, including 8 members of his family, in an American-Zionist missile attack on a residential area in the city of Karaj.
At the end of the meeting, the Director of the Institute informed Dr. Ugljanin about the Bosnian-Persian Dictionary project and the Institute’s latest publications, which he presented to him as a gift.
