Dr. Mubina Moker is the recipient of the “Imam Khomeini” World Award

During the ceremony announcing the winners of the first edition of the „Imam Khomeini“ World Award, organized by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Dr. Mubina Moker, Head of the Persian Language and Literature Center at the Ibn Sina Institute in Sarajevo, was declared the winner in the category „Promotion of Ethics, Gnosis, and Monotheistic Spirituality“. The ceremony was held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in the presence of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a group of global scholars and experts, at the International Conference Hall in Tehran. The core foundations of this award are defined through ten themes based on the intellectual system of Imam Khomeini (may he rest in peace), which include gnosis and monotheistic spirituality, justice, the defense of human dignity, the discourse of the new Islamic civilization, Islamic unity, interaction with other religions, service to the oppressed, resistance to Zionism, just peace, the Islamic way of life, and the promotion of the status of women and the family.

Dr. Mubina Moker was selected as the recipient of this award for her translation of the Divan of Imam Khomeini into the Bosnian language, published in 2006 by the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as for her other research works in the field of Islamic gnosis.

The Imam Khomeini World Award is held with the aim of explaining the ideas and intellectual legacy of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran and strengthening cultural and spiritual dialogue at the international level. In the first edition of the award, 19 scholars from 18 countries were honored.
