On Monday, 17 November 2025, a delegation of the Ibn Sina Scientific Research Institute — consisting of Director Mr. Mohammad Hossein Abbasi, Deputy Director Mr. Mehdi Alidousti, Dr. Mubina Moker, and Hajra Polovina — visited the Reis-ul-Ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Husein ef. Kavazović. The occasion for the visit was the recent publication of the Bosnian–Persian Dictionary. The Director of the Institute informed Dr. Kavazović and Muhamed Jusić, Director of the Office for Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora of the Islamic Community in BiH, about the implementation of this important scholarly project and expressed the Institute’s readiness to provide a copy of the Dictionary to all madrasas in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In a warm and friendly conversation, Dr. Kavazović thanked the Institute for its previously completed scholarly projects and emphasized that literature holds an important place in human life, as it intertwines numerous themes such as identity, philosophical and Sufi thought, and more. “Some contemporary Bosnian and Herzegovinian writers, such as Dževad Karahasan, have incorporated motifs from Persian literature and culture into their works,” noted the Reis-ul-Ulema, Dr. Kavazović.
Dr. Mubina Moker, co-author of the Dictionary, and Hajra Polovina, who carried out the proofreading of the Bosnian and Persian texts, informed the Reis-ul-Ulema about the details of the multi-year process of working on the Dictionary.
The Director of the “Ibn Sina” Institute presented the Reis-ul-Ulema with a copy of the Bosnian–Persian Dictionary and extended an invitation to attend the official promotion ceremony of the work.
